Oil conditioning (ocs)
The trend towards low-viscosity low-friction oils for consumption optimization and new technologies such as start-stop systems or the partial hybridization of vehicles are leading to constantly increasing demands on oil-lubricated bearings of engines and components. To validate these components, conditioning systems are needed for flexible control of pressure, volume flow and temperature. Pollux develops and builds conditioning systems optimized for the use on the test bench, to meet the sophisticated requirements in this environment. The flexible variation of the various parameters requires an extreme range of the systems. Pollux meets these requirements with in-depth engineering and state-of-the-art technologies. Our self-developed heating units heat in continuous operation and mix the oil at the same time. That’s why they are efficient and gentle and do not harm the oil due to the low area-related heating capacity. The conditioners can be optimally adapted to different oil types and changes in viscosity over the desired temperature range. By the use of our model-based, non-linear control concepts and tools, a fast and precise regulation of pressure, temperature or volume flow is guaranteed. Our modular system allows us to scale the conditioning systems in a wide range, so that we can offer a customized solution for many operating conditions. Each single system is adjusted by our specialists on a particularly commissioning test bench and will be checked under realistic conditions after production.
